The Titanic Submarine Disaster

There are few things worse in life being involved in  what was supposed to be a good and joyful thing and finding it turn into a dreadful disaster. This has been well illustrated in the disaster of the small sub that went on a pleasure dive to the wreck of the Titanic. Instead of being up close to the wreck, which the passengers of the sub were obviously fascinated with, and getting a real thrill from this, they all, tragically, lost their lives.  Oddly, this was also the same experience as many of the passengers experienced who had gone on the Titanic’s  maiden voyage thinking it was going to be a thrilling experience, only to find themselves wrecked at sea.

This is also the experience of millions of men, women and young girls all the world over who are approached by people who promise them work and the ability to earn money if they will come with them to another country. Glowing picture are painted for them of kind employers and large wage packets that will enable them to send money home to alleviate the poverty of their families. However when they get there they find that they are actually being enslaved  in grinding back breaking work that pays virtually nothing. Worse still the women usually end up in brothels where their self respect and their health is gradually taken away from them. In many cases, the end result of what they were promised is not a better life but a living death. To understand a little of how this might feel, please read the ‘not for profit’ novel, ‘The Garden of Sparkling Delight,’  by Deborah Varen. This story was written to draw attention to the plight of sexual slaves.  Copies can be obtained from Amazon in hard back or Kindle, or as a free audio download from this site or YouTube. Woven into the novel is another story concerning the young life of an English doctor and his wife. Fortunately this part of the book tells a basically happy story which balances the darkness of the main heroine. If you would like to read the novel it can be found on Amazon in hard copy and Kindle, or as a free audio from this website.

Just use this link to the audio, The Podcast or go to the links at the top of this WEB page and select 'Tis The Podcast'.  There you will find access to the 21 half hours episodes to listen on-line or download for later listening and sharing.  Please use it to draw peoples’ attention to this evil. This is why it was written.  Thank you.
