I didn’t think that it was possible for me to become even more angry at the way women and girls are used as sex slaves in our world today.
However the impossible happened when I listened, in utter consternation the other day, to a report from South Africa of horrendous child abuse. This abuse has so damaged young African girls caught up in it, that many end up in hospital needing hysterectomies or colostomies. Some of the little girls are little more than babies. The causes of this are the age old one of sex with children and young girls, but in addition the lie has been spread that sex with a very young girl will cure aids.
I later learnt from an independent medical source who had worked in that country as a paediatrician, that these facts are just as I had heard them to be. You can see now why I am even more incandescently angry than I was before as these children are in DANGER.
What do you do with anger? It inspired me to write a hard hitting novel about the impact, emotional and physical, on one young girl who was inveigled into sexual slavery.
