'Trapped' These Little People

We all love stories of the little person, the underdog, who fights back against powerful oppressors, or the person who sticks up for their friends despite tremendous odds.  Both of these themes are present in the novel ‘The Garden of Sparkling Delight,’ by Deborah Varen.  In this book one of the main characters, a young girl called Tis, is wrongly imprisoned in a brothel in Brazil.  Her best friend Yara, who has also been tricked into prostitution in the same brothel manages to escape and bring help to release her friend Tis whose health is deteriorating fast.  Yara pays a high price for her courage on her way home to alert Tis’s parents to the danger their daughter is in.

If you would like to read the exciting account of Yara’s escape and Tis’s eventual freedom please either buy the book from Amazon in paperback or Kindle or listen or download the novel for free from this site or You Tube.

If you do obtain it in some form, please then pass it to your friends.  Until enough of us get really angry about the modern slave trade it will continue just as the old slave trade did.  It is so easy to ignore something that is almost invisible.  All profits go to funding NGOs who work to free slaves and raise awareness of the problem.

To listen for FREE to the whole story and find out what happens to one of these little people the main character 'Tis' her family snd friends you can use this link to The Podcast or go to the links at the top of this WEB page and select 'Tis The Podcast'. There you will find access to the 21 half hours episodes on-line or download for later listening and sharing.
