Football

I’m not a football enthusiast but since a sport’s news appears on most news channels these days,  I can’t help but notice that over a billion pounds has changed hands in the acquisition of new players by various wealthy football clubs before the recent transfer window closed. 

This, seems to me to be and odd concept, that footballers can be bought and sold for vast sums of money and I have been pondering what the main differences are between footballers being sold and girls and boys being sold for sex and becoming sexual slaves. 

First and foremost comes the point that footballers want to be sold. This is ofton their biggest goal in life.  Sexual slaves however never wish to be bought and sold.  For them it is a living nightmare.  Then we assume that footballers enjoy what they do whereas sexual slaves would give anything in their power to escape from their trade.  Footballers too are very proud of their expertise.  Not so sexual slaves who feel utterly ashamed and totally debased by what they are forced to engage in night after night.  Then there is the fact that every time footballers are sold their personal wealth increases.  Some, we know are worth eye watering large sums of money.  Sexual slaves on the other hand mostly see nothing of the vast profits that are made by the trade in their bodies.  So we can see that although both groups of people are bought and sold there is a vast difference between the two.
